The Lloyd will provide the lesson plan.

October 26, 2007

Journal, Lauren

I tend to put things off, not plan ahead, generally procrastinate. I was eating breakfast this morning and silently berating myself for not buying a pumpkin yesterday for school. You gotta have a real pumpkin to play with, right? Well, Lloyd said ‘goodbye’, went out to the car to go to school, and then walked back in with a…. pumpkin! “One of our parents at school gave this to me.” What a miracle! (The photo is a re-enactment of said ‘miracle’, not the real miracle itself.)

(Angel chorus singing)

Lloyd here: It was actually one of my students who gave it to me. He and his brother have grown pumpkins to sell in front of their Grandfather’s store on the Seward courthouse square.

Lauren here:  So this pumpkin didn’t sell?  They’re giving me cast-off pumpkins?  What’s up with that?

Lloyd here: Lauren sucks.

I love it when my husband saves me!

Say, what is that book on your table?

Speaking of pumpkins, I seem to keep bumping into this video when I’m online…

Speaking of “sucks,” has anyone thought of making a pumpking milkshake? Or, a pumpking sundae?

    • Lauren Said on:

I get it -- pump king. Ha. A ‘pumpkin’ milkshake sounds like some sort of torture drink. I’d give up government secrets if I had to drink pumpkin. I don’t like the pie, either.

Petersburg, Nebraska, is hosting their Punkin’-Chunkin’ event on Sunday afternoon. Lauren, can you build a pumkin launcher????

BTW: Lloyd you’re alright! What a lovely orange/green pumpkin!
