Yes, I am so desperate for material for a post, I am putting up a picture of my messy house.
Today’s big goal is to get this mess under control. I’ve been putting it off for weeks and weeks and it’s pretty embarrassing. I’m usually much better about handling paperwork when it comes in the house, but now there are just piles of it everywhere. There’s also a bunch of dirt/ fur/ laundry/ vacuuming/ dusting/ etc. to do. Lloyd will work on website stuff. If all of this gets done by the afternoon, I’d like to go look at glasses. My prescription has changed, and looking at the computer now gives me a headache – and we can’t have that!!
Update: It’s been an hour and a half of cleaning, and I’m taking a break. I’ve been taking before and after pictures for that awesome ‘sense of accomplishment’. If you’re a dial-up person, there are a lot of pictures yonder:
The evil part of me gets a kick out of how these pictures will give Annette the jibblies. She’s a ‘cleanie’.
I cleaned my closet.
I swept the basement steps:
I’m finally taking down the spring decorations in the living room and vacuuming everything.
And, bravest of all, I tackled the Bowls In The Refrigerator That Have Been There Since Summer.

I’m the first! I’m the first!
I have to clean house today, too. Mom and Dad are coming tomorrow. Charles is at a meeting so the girls are going to “help”. God help us all.

I found the easter egg!
And if you think that’s a messy house, I’d hate to think of what you’d say of mine -- it’s way, way, way worse, and that’s not even counting Anna’s stuff!

This is the clean view. Just wait for the updates that show ‘before’s and ‘after’s.

Wow! Very nice! When did you want to come over and clean my house? 😉

I just noticed your mushroom archway -- very interesting!
My method of cleaning today was to leave “honey do” notes for my three kids before leaving for a Saturday morning meeting here at school. I just called home and the update was promising.

I wonder if there is a way (other than plan & simple self-discipline, which is just no fun) to avoid piling clothes up instead of hanging them or putting them in the laundry basket… Some gadget, perhaps?
