Happy 2008, everyone! We had a lovely evening at Beth and Harold’s eating fondue. It was a huge success. Last year we had problems with the cheese & chocolate scorching, but this year great minds came up with the double-boiler idea. It was all very delicious. (Brad makes a mean chocolate-amaretto fondue, man.) My pictures are blurry – big surprise.
However, we are officially old. Around 10:15 we all wanted to go to bed, but then we struggled to stay up until 11:00 to watch the ball drop in New York. Hooray for us!

Happy New Year Nebraskaland people! We managed to stay up with lots of yawning. We watched the 20-minute, non-stop, awesome fireworks at the Baltimore Inner Harbor on TV AND out my family room window -- heads turning back and forth from TV to window, like watching a tennis match! By 12:30 it was kisses goodnight followed by the lovely sound of snoring!

I’m not old, I’m just lazy. Why give up an extra hour of sleep just to shout some stuff and toot some horns? I’m with Michele -- sleeping is the best way to ring in the new year.
Happy New *yawn*!

Happy New Year Everyone! We ate at the Bonefish Grill with friends last night & were home by 8:30. It was SUPER hard to stay awake with our over-stuffed bellies. We say, let’s adjust the calendar somehow so the New Year can begin at 9:00pm. I’m sure we could add extra hours to February, it’s already a messed up month.
And I’m all for sleeping with Michele & Brad … on New Year’s I mean.

Pegs -- I’m sure it was New Years SOMEwhere at 9 PM! I say, “make it work” to fit your schedule.
As far as sleeping with me and Brad -- as Beth would say, “EEEEWWWWWWWWWWWW”!!!!
Peggy says
Sorry … I know 3’s a crowd …
Beth says
Heh.

The Fondue was really good. The Royuks disappeared for a few hours right before midnight. I think they were celebrating in some other way.
