Company’s here!

June 16, 2008 by Lauren 5 Comments

Well, not really company – it’s Brad. He’s family, so it doesn’t really count. However, in the flurry of taking all the junk out of his room and buying groceries, I inadvertently insulted Lloyd – I think we were walking by the frozen chicken nuggets and I said if he wanted those he should just make them himself. It was funny in my head, though, so I had to explain that what I wanted to say was the line from Secondhand Lions. It’s such a good quote, we’ve immortalized it in the kitchen.

We don’t know nothin’ about kids, so….

“If you need something, find it yourself. Or better yet, learn to do without.”

Oh, if only I could learn to do without …

Have a great time with your special guest … eh, or should I say “irregular” guest …
