Thanks for dinner, Farmers.

September 17, 2008 by Lauren 13 Comments

Lloyd drives the Eggplant to and from school on Wednesdays, and the past few weeks I’ve been meeting him downtown for a ride home.  Last week we stopped at the farmer’s market for hamburgers, but all they had were cold polish sausages.  Tonight they had FABULOUS hamburgers, and I’m not saying that just because I was starving.  They were great!  Thanks, farmers market, for keeping us alive one more day.

A stack of deliciousness

I want to see the picture of someone getting their mouth open wide enough to eat a hamburger if it were just one!

That looks like a dangerous meal for those of us who are gallbladder challenged…

The lettuce is on already. It’s called “white lettuce” and it was originally grown in caves so that it didn’t get any light. Now it’s grown in what look like quansit huts for G.I. Joe dollsaction figures.

Lettuce is lettuce to those with no gall bladder.

Those are REALLY good burgers. Surprisingly good.

(Unless you live in Nebraska and are accustomed to excellent beef. Then it’s not a surprise.)

Holy Moly–What a burger! But how about we all take a field trip to PA & get one of these…granted it won’t be as good as a Neb. cow…or will it…?
