Do YOU know the Waffle Man?

October 5, 2008 by Lauren 23 Comments

Oh, yes – I know the Waffle Man.  He put on a fundraiser at Samith, Stephannie and Matt’s church last night and we ate heartily.  He had quite the set-up!  Think of the meatloaf I could make with these babies!

They were dang good.

The only disturbing part was the ‘butter’ that we used.  Do you see the two pump containers at the end of the row?  They contain ‘Whirl’, a butter-flavored liquid to squirt on your awesome waffle.  I confess that I tried a dab.

We also played Bingo as we ate, which was very fun, but brought out the comptetitive gambler side of me.  We had to leave before I started shouting “Bingo!” in a false attempt to get prizes.

Lloyd was the winner on the way home, though. Check out these gas prices!

Thank you, Kwik Plus card!

What an amazing coincidence! I was offered waffles for dinner last night, too. I helped some friends move a large tree with my truck and they asked if I wanted to stay for waffles, which they eat every Sunday night! Awesome!

Unfortunately, I had already ordered some Thai food and was going to pick it up on the way home. Fortunately, the Thai food was very good.

We ate waffles yesterday for lunch. We almost always have waffles on Sunday. I love waffles. 😀

Also, I went to Missouri for a meeting this weekend and purchased gas for $2.97/gallon. Holy catfish! It was amazing! (Unfortunately, I forgot my camera and have no proof, so you all either must take my word for it, or think I’m lying. Your choice.)

*sigh And we’ve been happy to have our gas go down to 3.59 a gallon, but even at that, most stations are 3.69. 🙁

I’ve witnessed the waffle man at Seward’s famous 4th of July celebration. I even have his card. You never know when I might have a waffle emergency.

Are all y’all rounding up or down the prices by 9/10ths of a penny per gallon? Out here I can’t get 1/10 of a penny in change.

We have waffle on a weekly basis. It’s great. And then we quote Donkey from Shrek, “In the morning… I’m makin’ waffles!”

Great – now I’ll say it, too. One more thing for me to mumble as they send me to the home…..

I don’t think you should be putting stuff on the internet about making meatloaf with babies.

I have never heard of king syrup? Does it come from a land far far away? Because I have never heard of it.

That’s crazy talk. No one can buy gas for less than $3.00.
