For a couple of months, there’s been a little map at the bottom of the sidebar. It’s a clever little service that someone runs where they look at the IP address of visitors to the site and map them to an area on the country/world. They do it by comparing the IP address of the internet service provider you are using to a list of the locations of those providers. It’s not 100% accurate, but it’s close. The little map on the side shows the location of about the last 100 visitors, but the big map (click on the little map) shows the last 24 hours worth.
Can you find yourself on the map? When you’re on the big map it shows you what pages people in that area are reading and what kind of toilet paper they use.
It was completely wrong, Lloyd. I’m a Charmin user, none of that Cottonelle for me.
The computer must be really confused now, because this IP address will be registering Angel Soft as well.
It’s nice to see where Keren lives. And Leo.
I have Google Analytics on my blog – it’s so cool to see whose been on your site. I’m excited to say I’ve finally gone international, thanks to Leo and someone in the UK. 🙂
Oh, and Google doesn’t show what kind of TP used, only toothpaste.
What the…I can’t find me…do I exist? Or does my TP purchasing of whatever is on sale confuse the satelites?
It’s not satellite based. They have sensors in other places.
I’m not there either…so sad. All alone on Christmas, and not even on the map.
The IP address for your ISP is probably registered somewhere else.
