I’ve said it before – I really like walking home. The weather’s been crazy windy lately, but I love walking in the wind. Wind is the only thing that Nebraska has going for it, so I enjoy it. It whips your hair all around and the leaves go crazy on the trees – very fun. What I don’t enjoy is inner elbow sweat. I carry a tote bag that has all my junk in it and I have to hold onto the strap so it doesn’t fall off my shoulder.
What results is I.E.S. It’s ‘moist’ – my least favorite word.
Do you think I’d look funny with a towel wrapped around my arm?
Or a parasol? I’ve seriously considered a parasol – not for the sweat, but for the shade.
Have I said too much?
Brad says
Maybe you can just tape a cotton ball to your inner elbow. If anyone asks, just tell them you donated blood. You won’t look crazy AND you’ll look altruistic! Win/win!
Lauren says
It would also explain why I’m so pale…. genius!

I recommend a backpack. There are plenty of cute ones and plenty of ergonomic ones (think waist straps and things that help distribute the weight). Then you have your hands completely free for whatever you want to do, and you have no further worries about IES.
Afraid you won’t be able to grab your wallet when you find that just-right item? No worries, some of them even have a pocket on the waist strap so that you can get at your wallet easily.
Deborah says
For me, a backpack would lead to back sweat which would lead to butt sweat.
Beth says
Amen, friend. I’ll take IES anyday over BS. Any. Day.
Annette says
Heh! Heh! BS!
Peggy says
You could always get your sweat glands removed from that elbow.
Fact You Should Know:
Nearly 1 million Canadians experience excessive sweating.
Lauren says
Y’know, people often ask me if I’m Canadian!
Uyek says
Botox.
Apparently you can inject it to reduce sweating in addition to eliminating wrinkles and paralyzing your face.
Lauren says
Ha! I’m having a hilarious vision of walking home with my wrinkle-free, dead arms.
Karla says
But just think, you’d have smooth elbows while the rest of the world has pruny ones! 🙂
