July 4, 2009 by Lauren 8 Comments

THIS is our One Thousandth Post!!! Hooray! Hooray! Remember our humble beginnings in October of 2006? Ah. Good times. All of America will celebrate with us on this momentous occasion! When you watch the fireworks tonight, be glad in your heart that it is One Thousand Posts Day.

Well, in honor of this special time, my colander gave up the ghost. You might remember this colander from post #501. Well, the old girl just couldn’t take it anymore. I drained pasta for Lloyd’s Famous Pasta Salad that we take to Heit’s Point (which, by the way, I make), and when I went to pick it up, the entire top broke off.

Is this recycleable?

Yippee!!! A new colander is in my future!!

I mean, *sniff* I’ll miss you, Old Faithful.

Yay! Shopping for a new colander! Will you get something weird from that one store in Omaha?

I have a colander just like that one – well, except mine isn’t busted… Happy colander shopping!

Mine is the same color of blue. That counts for something, right?

I wonder what the collapsible colanders are like. Those seem pretty cool.
