A wonderful surprise awaited by the front door when I got home today – packages! Three wonderful packages filled with post fodder. (Good news for lame me who has resorted to recycling topics.)
One box contained a very fine study Bible sent from my Dad. (Thank you, Dad!) I think I might use it at school (for my own use), considering two of my three school bibles mainly have large cartoon illustrations. (I am totally not knocking children’s Bibles. I’m a little embarrassed to say it, being a pastor’s daughter and attending a Lutheran college, but the whole timeline of the bible didn’t solidly click for me until I read through The Beginner’s Bible as a preschool teacher. I’m slow like that.)
The contents of the other two boxes will remain a secret for now, but if you’d like to guess, just think …. what are a couple of my obsessions? (See? I’m recycling topics again.)
Brad says
The extra-wide pages on the Lutheran Study Bible fold over very easily. Be careful when you close the book, or else you’ll get creased pages.
I’ll guess that one of the other packages is… an electronic repellent system for scabies? “Worried about scabies? Scare away those babies! Only $19.95!”

Is it an RV that folds up into the size of a small package?
Lloyd says
I was excited, until I saw that it was not a signed, first edition of the Bible.
Peggy says
HA!
Lauren's dad says
Given the author, the signature is invisible.
Peggy says
Yay for packages! (I never get any) Is this Lutheran Study bible new? I don’t believe I’ve ever seen it.
When my kids were little, I got a ‘kids’ book that was the story of ‘Acts’. It had pictures of course & was longish…so it took a week to read to them each night. It was EXCELLENT!! My kids loved it & so did I. I have since looked all over for that book, but it’s apparently out of print. Dang.
Did one of your packages contain an official SunPower high efficiency 96 cell 315 watt solar panel?
