When Kristi and Joanna were here a while back, we got out the old yearbooks and had a little walk down memory lane. Ah, the late 80’s – what a great time!
That’s Karla sitting at the piano. That’s me sitting on top. Karla was awesome for many reasons, but the best was that she had dozens and dozens of bottles of pop (Dr. Pepper?) in her room earned by spending her lunch money at our little eatery, “Con-Te-Co”. You opened my eyes to the intricacies of bartering for pop, Karla. Thank you.
Here’s Lloyd’s evil twin, Paco. This was during Homecoming in 1991, I believe. We were in charge of Casino night. You can’t see any of the stuff, but this was my first experience with ‘building’ stuff. I made a kissing booth out of the cheapest, thinnest wood – I think they were veneer panels – and teeny tiny nails. It rocked! (….and was terribly, terribly rickety.)
Things didn’t go so well after I got married, though. Here’s a shot of me narrating some country song for our lip sync contest. It was shortly after I turned into Michael Jackson.
There are other photos, but that’s for another time.
