As I was getting ready to write this post I was scrolling through the old ones and saw that Brad left last Friday. I was truly shocked. I said to Lloyd, “Brad was here last week? Wasn’t that …..a hundred years ago?” We’ve had frigid temperatures, a snowstorm and three snow days in a row – which Lloyd had off, but I didn’t. It’s been a little stressful.
I’ve been getting home rather late the past few nights, and Lloyd stepped up to the plate (literally) by getting supper ready all those nights. He re-heated his famous meatloaf on Wednesday, and Thursday night he made spaghetti! He thawed meat, cooked it up and everything! Thanks to the guidance of Chef Internet, he even cooked the noodles – and all on one little induction burner. Tonight (Friday) we had leftover spaghetti. Way to go, Lloyd. I will expect more food from you in the future. Seventeen years of playing ignorant are over.
What was this post going to be about? Oh, the measuring gadget. We bought this spaghetti portion-thing years and years ago at a thrift store, and now it has actually been used. Turns out, it’s actually pretty accurate. We’re angel-hair pasta people (thanks to the Gebhardts) but I would assume it works for regular spaghetti, too. That stuff’s straight, right?
