I am such a hypocrite.

January 25, 2010 by Lauren 10 Comments

Ok, ok – so I’m not really against the Successories posters, I just like the Despair ones better. Snarky is funny, but encouraging is important, too. I’ve been know to try to be uplifting in my day, so who am I to knock it? Want proof? Here’s a glimpse into my bathroom:

It was during my stencil-words-on-everything craze.

See? That’s the kind of success I can handle – just a tiny little bit. (Have I mentioned that I’m a Type C personality? I don’t have enough gumption to be a Type B.)

OK. Did I ever tell you that just reading your posts at the end of a long day very often makes my day better? Not just a little bit better, either.

I like that little saying. Does killing rats count? I haven’t killed a rat in a while, but it always makes me feel like I’ve made the world a little better.

I LOVE that saying! Something doable!

You should totally make that into a poster with one of your awesome cartoon drawings…this is the million dollar idea!

    (I’m feeling quite bold today.)

How can every day not be great with that much toilet paper in arms reach of the toilet?

      It’s actually a bit of a stretch.

I appreciate your realization that Successories is simply trying to punctuate people’s day with inspiration and motivation not beat them in inspirational submission. A little bit goes a long away for some.

You’re right, Vinny. Your company does a good thing for the world. More power to you! 😉

Did a guy from Successosries really write to you? If he did, I’d say ( maybe with the fist pulled down rapidly towards the midsection, elbow bent, with way more enthusiasm than absolutely necessary) ‘Success!!!’
