A couple of weeks ago I noticed that my thrift-store-purchased French press had a tiny little crack in the bottom.
No big deal, I went online to research a cheap replacement and discovered that Bodem sells replacement carafes! Isn’t that super-duper eco-friendly? I put one in my cart at Amazon but decided to wait until I bought something else so I could maybe get free shipping. It wasn’t urgent, since the thing still held water, er – coffee. See?
I made a batch of cold-brew coffee just this past week ,though, and when I set down the thing there was an ominous crunchy sound.
It was much worse (see top photo). I carefully freed it from the handle and now will order that dang beaker.
Hmmmm…… what else do I need from Amazon?

Maybe we could all get together and do a group order. Here’s what I’ve been meaning to order from Amazon, but have been trying not to spend the money (because I’ve been spending it on other things and should really be saving to pay for my oil tank)
“Bitter Seeds” by Ian Tregillis
“The Elements: A Visual Exploration of Every Known Atom in the Universe” by Theodore Gray
I’d include the links, but I’m afraid I’d get filtered.

You can also pick up one from The Mill in the haymarket. I had an accident a couple years ago and found a replacement there.

How about this:

But if you want me to jump on the Amazon bandwagon, there’s always bowls & spoons I could order.

My high school science teacher did glass blowing! It was really cool. My folks have a few of his pieces.

OK. Here’s my Amazon order. One roll of 2″ seatbelt webbing, to replace FIVE seatbelts that my anxious and stupid dog chewed through.
