You’re probably all wondering how the bat bug saga is turning out, huh? Well, it’s kind of a non-issue right now. We never found any after the initial few, and the actual bat guy has our roof sealed up with a couple of controlled vents. In the early fall he’ll install one-way valves on those and after all the bats are gone, they’ll bomb the attic. I hope we get a new roof after that.
I’ve actually sat outside a few evenings to try and watch bats come out, but either I’m easily distracted by the mosquitoes trying to eat me alive, or I’m just not very observant. (or both.)
I’ve started on the all-encompassing Bat Bug page, but it’s still in the works. I can’t decide if it should be posted as a work-in-progress, or if I should wait until it’s done.
Rachel (Rae to y’all) sent me a book that I forgot at Heit’s Point. My camera is going a little wonky, but it’s fine momento of this batty year. Thanks, Rae. I will cherish it always!

I went searching for your bat bug page yesterday. Now I know why I couldn’t find it.

‘The Year of the Bat’…you funny Rae! (Al Stewart has nothing on you)
Lauren's mom says
Bye, bye, bats and bat bugs!
