Let me just pause for a moment and tell you that it’s raining outside. We’ve had weeks and weeks of hot, dry weather, and it just feels so pleasant now. I sat on our front porch for a while and just watched it. Thanks for the rain, God.
Speaking of thanks, I owe a big one to Beth.
People, if you are ever stuck for a nice thing to do for someone, look no further than Beth Pester’s patented BLT in a Bucket dinner. Sandwich fixin’s, tomato-and-cucumber salad, and also a delicious beverage. It’s a winner in any situation! She brought this over Sunday night, and it was good timing because not one hour earlier I had fed Lloyd all the grilled brats (that’s brahts) in the house, and was wondering what I was going to eat.
It was like a delicious puzzle to assemble.
It was particularly appreciated because I was given all kinds of beautiful produce on my home visits the past few weeks, but was never home to eat it. On Saturday I threw out moldy corn and tomatoes. Sinful! Sinful, I say!
Beth, you’re a gem. 🙂

I wonder if everything tastes better from a bucket…
Beth says
Fried chicken does.
Karla says
Beer does too.
Beth says
You’re welcome. 😀

THAT IS AWESOME! Way to go Beth! And without a doubt, this is a wining idea! BLT’s in a bucket. Call your local carryout now & sell them the idea!
