Remember that clock with the big numbers I bought a while back? Well, it turns out that it’s the worst clock ever. It gains approximately 2 minutes every 3 days. I reset it every few weeks, but it’s awful because not only am I waking up in the middle of the night to check the clock, now I also have to do math. Blech.
Speaking of things that keep me up at night, when Kathryn was here we were walking home and there is a house on the corner that had a cat in a trap. (The humane kind – not some bear trap.) The teenage girl who lives there was standing by it and said, “We have a lot of strays around here. My dad catches them and takes them out by his work where there are a lot of mice.” Yeah. That’s not haunting me at night.
I know that I can’t control other people – as much as I desperately want to – but tonight I snuck over and left a note on the cage that says, “What if I’m someone’s pet?”
Grrrrrrr.
