Yes, life is so boring I’m going to show some cleaning results. Yay for you, right?
Lloyd had a homecoming game last Friday night so I was alone (yay!) in the house for hours and hours with nothing on the agenda but to nap and watch stuff on Hulu. Well, I forgot to nap, and Hulu can be watched from the kitchen, so I cleaned up a bit in there.
For as little as I cook, I can’t figure out how the area by the stove becomes so disgusting. The few times I wipe down the counter, there are always bits of salt, pepper and sugar in this area. (And splatters of tomato sauce, but – whatever.) I was thinking that maybe I should go buy something to corral this stuff so I would just have one thing to wipe out, or maybe prototype something – but wait! I bought some Fiestaware at a fundraiser long ago! Lo and behold:
Woo-hoo! Granules, consider yourselves – contained.
Brad says
Granules. That’s a funny word. Granules. Granules. Hehe…
Peggy says
Your counter looks marvelous!! And I like the blue Fiesta dish…
in fact:

It looks great!!
I have a very similar dish (not Fiesta, not blue, it’s green) that I have 3 little plants in on my window sill.
Olay!!
Lloyd says
What happened to the big bowl of catchup from the first picture to the second?
Brad says
You’ve smashed together two alternate spellings of that condiment: catsup and ketchup. I usually choose to write ketchup.
Heh.
Ketchup. That’s a funny word. Ketchup. Ketchup.
Brad says
Ketchup granules. HAHAHA!
Peggy says
Are you ok?
Beth says
I’m pretty sure that’s what dinner was made of…
Lauren says
It was a candle, but a bowl of ketsup sounds pretty tasty right about now….
