I have loved the past two weeks. The temperatures have been rather pleasant in the daytime, and then the nights are wonderfully chilly. Window open, cold air, warm blanket – bliss!
The fan runs, but only for the white noise. I tried sleeping without it one night and woke up every half hour – “What is that annoying silence?”
How have you been sleeping? Everything ok?
Brad says
I can’t sleep very late on Saturdays. My dreams always wake me. They aren’t nightmares, but it’s like they’re too vivid or something. They tire me out; I wake up tired.

I miss sleeping with the windows open. I learned the hard way that sleeping with the windows open in the fall means horrible allergy problems for me. So our windows stay closed. 🙁
Lauren says
Bad allergy medicine from the dollar store will help… er, wait, it won’t.
Also, I should mention that not every night with the windows open is a dream, as when there was a super-weird smell last night:a combination of cattle feed lot and somebody’s fire pit smoke.

I LOVE FALL!! And one of the reasons is for the great sleeping/napping weather…it just can’t be beat!
I’ve been sleeping either really well…or about once or twice a week I have a horrible time. Wide awake at midnight…re-awakening at 3:30am.
And this past week I’ve had 3 dreams about a good childhood friend & being at her house… I haven’t seen or heard from her in over 15 years. I wonder what it could mean? (and the dreams are eerie-I don’t like them)

I was taking a nap the other day, and woke up from a thin shriek far away. Then Jacob came into my room and said “There is a fire in the microwave.” I calmly woke up, went to the kitchen, opened the microwave and threw a glass of water on the chicken pot pie that was really on fire in the microwave. He’d set it for 30 minutes instead of 5.
I need more sleep and a new microwave.
Lauren says
Yikes! I can’t believe that fire would betray you like that.
