Some of you might remember that I was working on a new website for Lincoln Lutheran for, um, about the last three years. If you could spare 30 seconds (surely you’re used to wasting that much time here anyway), I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind taking a quick test/survey/something about the new website: click here (Really. 30 seconds, tops)
After you’re done you can see what everyone else said. But no fair peeking first.
That was zany. I feel like I don’t have to do anything else today!
Ha! You’re not kidding about how long it takes. I’m afraid to say anything about the site because I don’t want to spoil the test for others, but I like what you’ve done.
That wasn’t even close to 30 seconds. More, more, more!
Alright then, go to the actual website and tell me 3 things that you like and 2 things that you dislike about it. That way I’ll still feel good, because you will have told me one more good thing than bad thing. Here’s the website: http://www.lincolnlutheran.org.
But, for the rest of you, no fair going to the school website or reading anyone’s comments before you Take the 30 second test.
I like: the tab part of the calendar (events/today); I like the tabs of top stories/news; and I like the buttons for FB, Ywitter, Flicker and You Tube. What don’t I like??? I don’t know. What’s your mascot’s name?
I may have thrown some faulty info. into the test. When I clicked ‘Take the Test’, I didn’t scroll down to see it all, so I only commented on the top half, which was what was showing on my computer. Then I saw the whole thing when I went to the results page.
Nice!
That’s really fine. What you actually see when you go to the website is just the top anyway. So people are most likely forming their first impressions based on that. In a way, I think it would be a better test if they just showed what a typical web browser would display.
It could be a blank page. You work magic on every website.
