So, I said I’d keep you posted about the clothing chart, and I have three words for you: I. love. it.
Basically, I have about 17 short-sleeved shirts, 11 long(er) sleeved shirts, 6 sweaters, 3 pairs of jeans and 7 pairs of school pants. (Also a handful of no-sew split-shirt jacket things which I still think are stylish but I realize that they’re not.) Having a chart shows me what hasn’t been worn in a while, so I look for a shirt with few wearings and put that on in the morning. It also helped me weed out a couple of shirts that I never wore at all.
I realize that I need to replace a couple of pairs of pants since they have shrunk and are too short, and I really should buy a dedicated ‘nice’ shirt to wear to church.
What’s your favorite outfit? Mine is my second-best pair of jeans and my green shirt that I spilled cooking oil all over and can never wear again. R.I.P., green shirt. You never made the list.
Kitt says
Dunk the whole shirt in cooking oil, then wash. You’ll have a new favorite shirt in a different shade.
Brad says
Ha! That is an AWESOME idea! Now I want to know if it works. I must eat something greasy tonight…
Peggy says
Your chart reminds me that I always forget to get extra summer shirts for winter. I like to wear short or 3/4 sleeves year round at work so I really end up wearing the same stuff too often. Stupid forced hot air.
Rae says
You have way to much time on your hands. Can I send you some of my chores? 🙂
Lauren says
Sure, if those chores take five seconds in the morning. (You have to read that with a Napoleon Dynamite voice for it to be the most amusing.) 🙂
