Lauren here: To cleanse our minds from yesterday’s sadness, let’s enjoy one of Lloyd’s funny back-up posts. Lauren out.
My new phone has a new setting for the camera. It’s called HDR and it stands for something like, “take a few photos really quickly with slightly different exposure settings then combine them together.” And I have used it a few times to take pictures like this:
Well, on the way home from the Nebraska Technology Coordinator’s Meeting, I saw something sort of strange drive past on the Interstate. I thought to myself, “Self, you should have taken a picture of that.” When the second one drove by I thought the same thing.
But I was, more or less, ready for the next 14 of them. My problem is that I still had the HDR setting on the camera, and while it was taking a few pictures really quickly and combining them, I was shooting past my subject matter at, relativistically speaking, 150mph. Sorry about that.

Ooo! Ooo! I know what the thing in the picture is!
Keren Lowell says
I think this is why she loves you.
Lauren says
Yeah. 🙂
I, for one, LOVE the windmills. (Also sorry, Kristi.) They are fascinating, especially if you imagine standing on one of the blades. You’re just circling in the middle, but you’d be whipping around like mad on the ends!
Rae says
Were they headed toward Iowa? They seem to be growing them there now instead of corn.
Lloyd says
There are a lot of them in Iowa, but these were heading west.
Kristi says
Minnesota is being inundated with them. Ruins the landscape.
Mark says
I wonder what the driver does when he realizes he’s going in the wrong direction and needs to make a U-turn.
Karla says
If that is what i think it is, there’s a farm of them south of here. I love driving by it (Sorry, Kristi).
