Elf Work

December 14, 2010

If somebody had told me that one day I’d be buying 29 Chapsticks at once, I’d ask them what kind of lip disease I was destined to get.

It's a bad photo. I ain't fixin' it.

My kids are crazy this year about Chapstick, and I don’t deny it at all. As one who grew up with split, bleeding lips, I am pro-balm. The thing is, the ones who really need it don’t have it, and sharing chapstick is verboten, as we all know.

Well, I thought that a funny/practical gift for them this year would be a personalized chapstick. I put a Bible verse on it so it wouldn’t be completely out there as an idea (Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. Psalm 63:3), and I really think they’ll like them.

Originally at Wal-Mart I found 3-packs marked down to $2, but when I checked out they were actually $3. Drat. However! I found that they sold singles that were marked down to 50 cents apiece! Score!!!!

Happy lip balmin’, guys.

Is it cherry? Mmmm… cherry Chapstick. I wish they made a food that tasted like that. I’d spend way more than 50 cents on it if they did.
