Gala Night

March 12, 2011

Gala night.
Bid on loot.
Pretty dresses
worn with boots.
Friends at table,
Lots to eat.
Winners bidding.
Losers beat.
Pretty Jill
in fancy gown.
Steph & Lauren
in same town.*
Too much food.
Tummy hurt.
Took off belt.
Sat by Curt.
Home so late.
Wrote this rhyme.
Daylight Savings Time.

There was much to bid on.

I took lots of pictures, but none turned out since I didn't use a flash. Didn't want to look crazy, y'know.

Mmmmm.....salad to start.

So pretty!

It was binding my stomach.

He's so handsome.

* Stephannie and I see each other every year at the Gala like clockwork. Have I mentioned I’m the world’s worst friend?

That table setting is amazing. It’s like a “Were’s Waldo?” picture.

Can you find the butter balls?

Okay, here’s how stupid Daylight Savings Time is…

i’m looking at your pictures through half-squinty eyes, and behold, I see the grim reaper in Picture #2. He’s hanging out between the two chairs on the left. Then, I look at Curt, and it appears he has a black elf-like hat hanging from his head with a bald pom-pom on the top of it. (Sorry, Curt.)

And, finally, did you play Spoons with all of those utensils?

Are you kidding….that’s a GREAT poem!!! Thoroughly enjoyed reading it!

And I agree with Brad, that is one excellent looking table! My eye instantly went to the chocolate cake!

    Hi Curt!

HA! Awesome poem. Lloyd, did you get your night at Embassy Suites? I did NOT get the circuit box, maybe because I didn’t bid on it. 😉 Can’t wait to hear how LL did!

    • Lloyd Said on:

Yes, we did get the night at Embassy Suites, and we know just how we’re going to use it.

I think I heard that Pastor Tooman got the electrical panel.

I wanna see the boots! (Seriously, you shouldn’t talk about stuff like that without pictures. It’s not fair to the rest of us!) 🙂

Sadly, I didn’t wear boots myself, just my snub-nosed dress-up shoes that really should be replaced. Everybody else wore them, though! I died of the cuteness. Every single picture I took was too blurry. What I have is the best of the shots. Next year I’ll plan better. 😉
