Lloyd’s parents and his brother Aaron came up for a quick visit this weekend. While we didn’t have much time together, we did manage to squeeze in two visits to buffets, because I am nothing if not a great cook.
They had to head back to Missouri, so they missed Lloyd’s concert.
Dang.
Not that the music wasn’t great – it was lovely – but on the first truly hot day of spring (85 degrees), the air conditioner at the church decided to quit. The place was packed with musicians and patrons, and it was h.o.t. Lloyd brought along some fans to have blowing from behind, but I kept praying that God would swirl some breezes around those poor singers.
Personally, I was distracted by allergies that decided to go full force as I walked into the sauna church. The left side of my face has decided to moonlight as an itchy sponge. I sat through the whole concert looking like a snob with my nose in the air, but I was trying not to be a dripping faucet.
Thanks for the music, Lloyd & Co.
Brad says
Is “Lloyd & Co.” the name of the choir? Because that would be cool.
Lauren says
Yes, because Kool & the Gang was taken.

Lloyd wore those cool half-pants thingies when he was in A Cappella, right? If I recall, it was shorts and elasticized pants bottoms.
