Stretching it out.

I am a fan of the sour candies. Chocolate is alright, but I really like the tart fruit candy instead – Skittles, Starburst, SweetTarts, Spree. Mmmmmm….. I know they’re not good for you, but occasionally I give in.

Starburst are great because I can actually resist eating the whole package now. This results in a fantastic surprise when I find the rest of them. “Hey! Candy! Thanks, Lauren of the Past.” (I’m shamelessly stealing your joke, Brad.)

Sometimes, though…… sometimes you find the last four and you are very sad because you are in the mood for lots and lots of candy.

You are not enough for me.

So, you take matters into your own hands and divvy them up, then hypnotize yourself into believing that you are having a sugar feast.

Sixteen! That's crazy!

It almost works, except that you eat them four times as fast as you would have eaten the full-size Starburst.

    I think we should always thank our Past Selves when they do nice things for us. It encourages us to “pay it forward”.

    I like tart/sweet candies too. FunDip is my favorite. Chewy SweeTarts are my second favorite.

    I am not a huge fan of sour candy although I used to be -- especially sour patch kids. Now I’ll take a cookie or piece of cake instead.

    I’m mostly a sweet girl (hehe). But I do like Starbursts.

    My past self is very stingy when it comes to sweets. Just last night I ate 2 donuts instead of saving one for my future self. So this morning I do not care for me of the past very much. Stupid self.
