That title has no bearing on this post, other than the fact that I stated to Lloyd and Brad that every second of my upcoming vacation was precious like gold, not like the trickly nickels of their own abundant vacation time. Plus, it is crazy fun to say ‘trickly nickels’. Go ‘head – try it.
Anyway, I used a small amount of my precious time to make a little bit o’ happy. I discovered that I like to have a jar of Starbursts around so I can eat one or five at a time, but all that unscrewing of the jar lid was really wearing me out.
Problem. Solved.
Brad says
Ooo! Ooo! Make one of those for me, but fill it with fried calamari. I’d love to see the shape you’d cut in the lid!
On second thought, shaking calamari out of a jar that sits on the counter sounds pretty gross. Never mind.
Peggy says
I love your candy jar Lauren! I just use a stupid, boring old bowl.
Trickly nickels! Ha! And I’m with you as far as vacation goes. How long do you get anyway?
Brad’s vacation stretches before him like the vast blue sea,
Ours is like a small tide pool, barely reaching our knee,
Lloyd’s is a boundless prairie land, so beautiful & bright,
Our’s is a tiny, city backyard, let’s agree this just ain’t right!
Marisa says
You know, of course, that I adore this beyond measure! Yay for customized jars!
Lauren says
Lloyd tried to throw two jars in the recycling bin the other day, claiming I had too many. I’m going to send him your way for a good scolding, ok? 🙂
