The Goal

October 28, 2011 by Lauren 7 Comments

Just for the heck of it, I’ve decided to sleep in as long as I possibly can tomorrow. In college this meant that I’d go into early afternoon, but I’m curious about what the record will be now that I’m in my 40’s.

Starting time: 9:30.
Ending time: ?

Well, you’ve already made your first mistake. If you were in college, you wouldn’t be going to bed at 9:30.

I went to bed at 8 two nights this past week. Hehe…

Not too many years ago, we started going to bed at 9 instead of midnight or after. But I wake up at 3 or 4 or 5 and can’t go back to sleep. Hope you did lots better than that!

Final report: Actually asleep by 9:45, awake at 5, 6, 6:30 and 8, but napped and stayed in bed until 8:45. College-worthy, I’d say, if you nudge the original bedtime back a few hours.

Congratulations! This is one contest I think I’d beat you all at though!

How could you go to bed so early with the Cardinals playing in the World Series???

Because I am a jinx, and am not allowed to watch the game. Plus, sleeping trumps everything. 😉
