I was given some unexpected presents this week. Normally presents make me uncomfortable, but these did not.
Deborah stopped by to give me the most awesomely packaged ketchup in the entire world! It’s a perfect little .95 ounces that you can tear off the top and squeeze, or rip off the front foil and dip. This would be very helpful for me in the car, although I am an expert at tearing the top off a regular ketchup packet and dipping my fries in one-by-one (while driving). Um, that’s probably not safe. (No cops are reading this, right?)
Second present was a lovely thank-you plant from my Colorado friends that was mailed to my workplace. I wish I had taken pictures of how it was packaged, because it was a miraculous feat of structural engineering. That box could have been thrown across a football field and the plant wound be completely undamaged. Thank you, Karen, Michelle and Alesha!
The third present was less fun. We had a junk man come and haul away our broken refrigerator, old grill and a storm door, but he backed over the storm door (twice) and left glass in the yard.
Lloyd was a little miffed, but I was just grateful he came and got the junk out of here, or it would have lived on our property forever.
