Right after church on Easter Lloyd and I ate some lunch and then headed to his classroom to do some major cleaning. He had hoped to work on it Friday, but we put it off. He hoped to work on it Saturday, but instead he played computer games most of the day. Sunday was our only shot.
I am kind of impressed with all this ‘we’ talk, because this was the first time since we put together the A/V carts that I actually stayed and helped the whole time. I’ll do a post later about my cord managing/organzing skills, but for now, let’s just look at before-and-after pictures, because that’s what really matters.
I got to sort through the desk drawers. Oh, the power!! The photos only show two:
It took a good three hours to just work on the computer/desk stuff. The last two-and-a-half hours were dealing strictly with papers. Lloyd would mow through a stack, handing off papers and directing where they should go: trash, re-use (one-sided), invoices, or various files. It was a heroic effort, and I can’t believe he made it through all of it!
Woo-hoo! It’s not all done, but he has a couple of days to keep working on it. Go, Lloyd!

That’s impressive.
When you were talking about sorting the papers, I was sure one of the sorting categories would be “burn”. Then I saw your picture caption.
Lloyd says
One nice thing about holding on to papers for several years before filing them is that the burn stack turns out to be a larger portion of the whole. I’d say we threw out three-fourths of it.
Gretchen says
Are you available for hire?
Peggy says
Excellent!!
And it doesn’t make me feel guilty one bit. No sir, it motivates me to continue cleaning my closets at home. Well, now that I’m privy to the burn method.

You make me proud. You did not inherit that skill from me but we did miss you this weekend.
