Good grief. This is who I have become.

May 14, 2012 by Lauren 6 Comments

We have some fairly serious water damage in the ceiling above the stairs. We’ve actually known about it for some time, but it’s not really a problem unless it rains. Plus, at night when the ceiling light is on, all looks normal. When it’s just sunshine, though, the damage can be seen all the way down. I suspect that our ancient chimney needs the mortar fixed, and that the water is seeping in that way. It’s my professional opinion.

I went upstairs to get some photos of the ceiling…..

but there was a cat in the way.

What?

Yes (hanging head in shame), I spent a good 5-10 minutes taking pictures of a stupid cat.

She could leap on my head!

Ho, boy. Sign me up for the crazy cat lady nut house.

Such a dork. Me, not the cat.

I hope they have pudding.

Enough with the photos, human. Fetch me the can of deliciousness.

Yay! Cat pictures! She totally looks like Batman in the second picture. She is well named. Now if you can just get her to eat some corn on the cob, the description of your website that pops up when you hover the cursor over the link from my links list will be accurate again.

Ha! I love them all. My favorite is the “What?” picture.

As long as Batman hangs out in her current location, you don’t even have to look at the water damage. There, problem solved.

Those pictures are AWESOME!! You are a much better photographer than you give yourself credit for! And Princess Batman has an adorable face! Is she still a kitten ’cause she looks kind of small in these pictures.

Princess Batman maintains a tight watch out the windows for most of the day. I’m pretty sure she’s looking for some crime to fight.

and the rain is coming in.
    If someone doesn’t fix it
I’ll be soaking to my skin.
But if we wait a day or two,
    the rain will go away,
and who will need a window
    on such a sunny day!
Manana, manana, manana is good enough for me!”
