I’m a sucker for cool maps. If you take any sort of data and map it out by state (or better yet, by county), I’m all over that. Here’s a map that shows religious preference in the U.S. by county:
The same people have done a dozen or so other maps that break the country down by how prevalent different religious beliefs are.
Huh, I actually looked at maps and enjoyed it. Of course, we weren’t late for an appointment in an unfamiliar city and the driver wasn’t yelling at me to “Just LOOK” at the map.
It’s always good to respond to the yelling with, “Thank you for raising your voice because apparently my ears don’t work well at normal volume. And, amazingly, I am able to find things on a map much faster when you give me those helpful, loud suggestions. You are so very wise.”
I enjoyed your m ap. thought the info was cool.
This is my favorite info map:

No one has ever been able to explain that strange bubble of soda centered around St. Louis to me, but I seem to have been caught up in it.
I like maps like that. They’re so interesting. The individual counties here and there that stand alone make me curious. How is there a Methodist county all by itself in western Alabama? Is it some really large congregation? Is it a school?
Pretty cool! But where are the Hutterites I ask you!
