Ever!
You know that I broke my camera, right? Well, today (Wednesday) Ron Royuk (Brad and Beth’s dad) called me at work and said, “Stop by on your way home – I have something for you.”
“You do?” I asked. “What?”
“A couple of kittens,” he deadpanned. “I hear you are the spot for taking them when they need homes.”
I am not joking when I say my heart stopped for a bit. “You’re being funny, right?”
He was. Thanks goodness! I stopped by and he gave me –
get ready for this –
a camera!!!!
A camera! new in the box!
A camera! one that I didn’t have to agonize over in Best Buy!
A camera! one that fits in my pocket and can take photos at school at a moment’s notice!!
I hugged him and seriously teared up a little. It is just so, so, so nice.
So thank you, Ron Royuk, and know that you have just kicked Mother Theresa out of her spot.

What can I say?….it was the right thing to do. Lauren, you are the best! You are therapeutic for me as well as all your other blogging friends (including son, Brad) Thanks to you all! It makes my day even tho’ I have a slow start. Go to bed late, get up late. Glad I checked this before going to bed…..so everyone can see my post. Lauren…you go girl!! Do you also give hugs for chocolates?? ๐
Brad says
Cool! That’s exactly like my camera! I don’t want to know how much it was on Woot though. I probably paid twice as much for it. Ack!
Things I like about it:
It’s got good physical zoom.
It closes up small.
The battery charges while it’s plugged in with a USB.
The macro works well.

Just ask you dad to buy you another one. You know will need it someday.

A couple of kittens… HAHA!!
Way to go Ron Royuk! Can’t wait to see the pictures you take with your new camera. And it’s got to be easy….it says so right on the box.

Ron is such a good Dad, even if we’re not his actual kids.
Curt says
I totally agree with you Tammy.
Kristi says
That Ron Royuk is a great guy! His kids are pretty cool, too.
Mr. Royuk, do you know that the sprayer on my kitchen sink is broken?

Back to the Marimba, how about those little rubber chair things you can buy that go on the bottom of chairs. (We have them at Clubbs ๐ They come in sizes and you could put them on dowels, then as they wear out, put mew ones on. I’ll send you a picture, and hey you can send me pictures of anything, happy for your new camera too !!!
Lauren says
Thanks, Michelle. You and my dad sent good ideas. I think I’ve got it handled (heh heh) for now -- I took my last remaining dipped mallet and cut the handle so it’s only an inch long. That’ll learn ’em.
(Not really an inch.)
