We never even dated…..

September 5, 2012 by Lauren 9 Comments

I spent too much time working on a project for church, so now I’m out of time for a real post. Let’s take a poll.

Of course, at my job, I cannot swear. (Out loud.) I can, however, mutter (clean) stuff under my breath and lately my phrase of choice has been, “Oh, for the love of Pete.”

Each and every time it surprises me. Why am I saying that? I have never before said it in my life, and now I seem to be saying it daily – mostly when I’m setting out the cots and right after I get someone’s ready I realize they are gone for the day oh, for the love of Pete.

I even said it when I was painting the Cat Disaster Area, when I could have been Free and Clear to call out the Big Ones.

So, what are your acceptable-in-public blurts? Keep in mind we have some kids here, folks.

I say “criminy” a lot. And “shoot”. I tried to add “blast” to my vocabulary a few years ago. It stuck for while, but for some reason I stopped using it.

This pops out of my mouth all the time (without any thought) because I am always dropping something, or spilling something, or burning something…..”Nancy, you are so stupid!”

I guess I should add in “Crappy Doodles” and “Shooty Poops” too! 🙂 Such language!

One of my good friends says, “Tonka Toys!” Or, “What the Tonka Toys?!” I like that one.

I like to say “for crying’ in a beer.” I got it from my gramma. 🙂
