Photo time!
I don’t have any good stories about first grade. I do remember loving those green overalls I’m wearing in the picture, though. They had an apple appliqué on the knee with the words “I love you”. I’m not sure if it was a sentiment between my knee and the apple, or an awkward placement of my own 6-year-old declaration of affection, but whatever – loved the duds.
Is it significant that the person next to you is also wearing overalls or suspenders?
I had some pants I loved to wear that were red, white, and blue plaid. They were awesome.
That’s Lara, and I supposed we were thrilled to be wearing the same thing. Oh, the joys of first grade!
