Fall has arrived with a vengeance around here. (By the way, I did not know how to spell ‘vengeance’ until this very moment.) The leaves have turned color, and the gale-force winds we’ve had the past couple of days have pretty much ripped them all from the branches. Oh – and the branches, too.
I was walking on Thursday, when the winds were just beginning, and saw something unusual on the sidewalk. Let’s all guess what it is together, shall we?
See it? Way up ahead?
Hmmm…. maybe a trash can? There are many trash cans in the neighborhood that have blown over. Hmmmm……
I am not kidding that at this point I wondered if it was a coffin from somebody’s yard decorations. You never can tell in this town.
No, maybe it is a trash can. A trash can filled with helium.
Nope. Fishing net. I knew it all along.
Happy Saturday!

I guessed wrong. I thought it was a bear cub. Until the second to last picture. Then I thought it was a weird wheel barrow or something.
RON ROYUK says
CLOSER!! I’m still looking for the fishing net!
Kristi says
Ours blew over, too, and broke the plexiglass(?) backboard.
Peggy says
I was hoping it was a witch’s cauldron.
