Lloyd and I went to see Les Miserables’ with Charles and Deborah Friday night, and since I knew I was going to blubber like a baby, I needed to take tissues. Also, since Lloyd’s runny-nose phase of his cold has kicked in, I was going to need a lot of tissues. I thought about taking a whole box, but that would be overkill.
I had a half-box handy, so I chopped it in half, stuffed the bottom in the top, and taped it closed.
Then I thought, “Rats. I should have taken a picture of the process for a better post.”
Then I wept a little at my forgetfulness, but fortunately, I had a tissue handy.
The movie? It was good. Eleven tissues good.

Ah, someone else who remembers that commercial! I quoted it recently and got a blank stare.

Hehe… I had to go look for the commercial. I couldn’t find the one I remembered. I thought it was two women, but I can’t seem to locate that on YouTube. For now, here are two other examples:

I didn’t see this box until the dark of the theatre, so I thought it was made that way. Very convincing, Lauren. And thanks for bringing the tissues--not that I needed them.
Peggy says
Very clever! I always just stuff a bunch of tissues in my purse in a clump.
