Last Saturday when I didn’t have my wallet in Lincoln, I called Lloyd and asked him to please look in my bag. As he rummaged around, he kept mumbling, “You need to clean out your bag.”
Several times this week he has muttered things about my bag under his breath. I think the ordeal gave him nightmares or something.
So to quiet the grumbling, I did it.
In order of thrown out:
Two ribbons
Several beads
Two strings of hearts/raindrops
One broken spring
Unused labels
Silver ribbon thing
Three batteries- two round, one square
Three receipts
One piece of white cardboard
Results of school survey (shredded)
Empty medicine blister pack thing
Relocated elsewhere in the house:
Allergy pills
One toothbrush
Hole punch
Raisins
Coins
Leprechaun gold
Tax document
Candle
Back in the bag:
Key
Pens
Stomach medicine
Floss
One toothbrush and toothpaste (I really need to call the dentist. I have a sore tooth.)

googlie eye (you never know when you’ll need it)
Hmmmm…. He might have been right.
Lloyd says
I’m pretty sure he was right.
Peggy says
Whew! And good job! You’ve begun spring house cleaning!
And at 1st (due to watery eyes from a cold/sinus thing I have going on), I read the 2nd item of things thrown out as Several heads. Whew again!
Kristi says
How big is your bag???? Picture, please.
Lauren says
It’s this bag that I bought almost four years ago: http://laurenandlloyd.com/2009/07/31/bag-lady/ It’s plenty big with just my iPad rattling around in it now. Hmmmm…. maybe I should buy a new bag…..
Tammy says
Wow, Lloyd was very brave to try and find something in your bag. My husband doesn’t even like getting in my car because of the stuff I need to clean out. He would never go through my bag unless his very life depended on it and even then I think he would hesitate.
Lauren's mom says
Was the kitty in your bag, too? Is that Emme?
Lauren says
That’s Wally. Wally the Worst. 😉
Brad says
Haha! That’s a lot of stuff! It reminds me of the things that collect on horizontal surfaces in my house. After cleaning, I always have a decision to make: Do I make a conscious effort to keep it clean from now on, or do I just let things run their course and have another big clean-up day two months from now?
