Well, Friday started off just fine. I woke up late, ate some cereal (with milk!) and went right back to bed. (My throat felt a little funny, so I took that as a cue to Act Sick for the rest of the day.) Woke up around noon, ate lunch, then rested some more. Around three I started to feel guilty about the slothfulness (though my throat still felt weird), but I did some work around the house and started a couple of cooking projects.
Lloyd, though – he makes me so mad. He spent the whole day playing a video game, then at 4:00 got more work done than I’ll do all weekend. He cleaned out the front entryway.
I took photos through the door. I didn’t want to chance actually going in there in case I was roped into helping.
Yeah, yeah, yeah – it looks great, but I did something even more important: Wally and I made significant strides toward learning how to play fetch. When he returns the paper ball I enthusiastically pet him and say, “Good doggie! Whoza good dog?”

Are all those gloves missing their spouses?
Lauren says
Yes, and shockingly: I told Lloyd he could throw them away. Crazy, huh?

I should write this as an e-mail. Maybe I will. Anyway, for here: Wednesday we went to Grand Junction and I came home with a slightly sore throat. By evening it was worse and hard to sleep, so I got up and gargled with salt water. It morphed into a cold. Third day now. But thankfully just a cold.
Lauren says
Feel better, Mom! I love you!

Way to go Lloyd!! I just wish your accomplishment didn’t make me feel so guilty. There are many rooms in my house that are the ‘before’ picture.
Brad says
So there are benefits to playing video games… it makes you a super cleaner. Or it gives you blood clots in your legs from sitting still too long. Hmmm… maybe Lloyd was just moving around so much because he was afraid for his life.
Lloyd says
Our entryway was starting to look like the entryway of a farm house.

Oh, no! Did you mean mine?? Happy Easter.
