Duvet Cave

April 13, 2013

There were some glitches involving today’s tax preparation, so I’ll save that story for when we get them finished.

Today, let me show you pictures from last weekend. I saw this on the internet and wanted to try it since the weather had warmed up a bit. The premise is simple: you secure a duvet cover open then blow air into it. It’s pretty fun! (With the exception of the fan falling over every so often.)

It’s supposed to be for kids, but I admit that I got in there myself. I was amazed at how chilly it was in there. If we never get our air conditioner fixed, this is how I’m sleeping in the summer.

I probably won’t be sleeping alone.

A chilly, homemade cave! You are my hero Lauren!

When I was a kid, we did that with the heat vents. They were fairly large grates in the floor that put out a strong blast of warm air. We would put a blanket over it and make a cave of warmth.
