Lauren has been really busy lately, so I asked her if she wanted me to write a post. She said, “Always.” Which I thought was a little over the top, but in the spirit of the thing I said, “Okay.”
Then I realized that I didn’t really have anything to say. So I will, instead, attempt to get you to paint my fence. I’ve been working on a new website for a while and although it’s live and seems to be doing alright, I really haven’t gotten any feedback on it from anyone.
If you have time, go take a look and tell me if anything doesn’t look right. You don’t have to fill out forms or anything. I’m reasonably sure that everything actually works. I just don’t know how it looks. It’s like they say about selling your home. You want to have someone who doesn’t live in the home come and point out all of the little things that need to be done that you don’t see any more, because you’ve been looking at them for 10 year and besides, you were always going to get around to fixing it anyway.
CSTA stands for Computer Science Teachers Association.
Looks good to me! I like that it has a schedule so I know when your next meeting is. Do you want me to make some cartoons for the banner photo?
I will wait to see if other people are asking for that feature.
I like it. Nice. Clean. Simple. Effective. Easy to navigate. It would appear you knew what you were doing when you created it.
You might think that, but really it was just luck. I threw a bunch of bits into a box, shook them up and dumped them out and it made a website. But the first one was in French, so I had to do it again.
I didn’t spend a long time there, but I did look around a little. Two things I saw:
On the front page, Browse the Resources and Join the Community both have sentences under them that end with a period. Become a Member has no period. It’s a small thing, but I thought I’d say it anyway.
I was curious about Computer Science standards and tried to look at them from this page:
http://cstanebraska.org/2013/03/28/csta-k-12-computer-science-standards/
But the csta.acm.org link at the bottom of the page would not load. I don’t know if that is a problem on my end, or something temporary, or what…
No period. Huh, I wonder how I did that. Oops, I had the link wrong. It’s fixed now. Thanks.
Almost every time I send a text, I consciously think about whether or not to put a period at the end of the last sentence.
I feel it a moral obligation of mine to text only with proper grammar, spelling and punctuation. It’s as if I can’t help myself. Ever.
So you’re the president, eh?
I think the site looks fine. However, I think it could use some cartoons.
Yeah, I’m not exactly sure how that happened.
