EXACTLY like The Prince of Egypt

June 27, 2013

I just love Jesus Time during the summer. We go straight through the Bible starting at Genesis and get through a story a day… until we get to Abraham. I slow those stories way down and draw all kinds of stick-figure pictures. I was in my 20s when it finally made sense to me how God promised land and children to Abraham, and the whole thing with Joseph was how the Israelites got to Egypt, and Moses was getting them back. (Nutshell version.)

We are moving on, and after hearing me tell this story for a couple of days and two days of watching ‘The Prince of Egypt’, we did our own version. My favorite line, obviously stolen from the movie: “Now you have to die on the table, but don’t mess it up ’cause it’s all ready for snack.”

You’ll have to find the movie. 🙂

Adorable!! And even though I knew it was coming, I still laughed when the kid said, “When you die, don’t mess up the table…” HA! Too cute! I also LOVED the burning bush!

I remember doing VBS with this age group. They are a blast!
