This morning I attended a funeral of a dear elderly lady who used to volunteer at the Center years ago. I wish I had more profound things to say, but in a nutshell: I was impressed with her life and how much she professed her faith to others. It was nice and our pastor did a wonderful job weaving personal stories in with a powerful sermon.
Again, that’s the nutshell version. Sometime I might have to write out my thoughts for my own funeral. That will make for a fun post, huh?
The rest of the day was spent in kind of a putzy way – a wonderfully putzy way! Lloyd did some wireless Internet planning at St. John, and I got a few areas here at home cleaned up, but there was also napping, reading outside and drinking ice tea, and playing with cats. Yes, all I have to show from today is Emmy jumping at a bug on the noisy plastic. The mighty jump is at the very end.
Ahhhhh….. A good Saturday.
