It was a busy day. We went to Gracen’s football game and it was good. I was amazed at ALL the people at the sporting fields – teams and teams of flag football and soccer. Several of the kids were former preschoolers, so it was fun to say ‘hi’.
After that Lloyd’s folks wanted to stop and see Jim and Helen – distant cousins who live here in town. As it turns out, Jim was in the hospital after a bad fall and was about to be released. We stopped at the hospital to visit and then went over to his house to help his family move furniture around so he could move back in. He is in hospice care for other health issues, so your prayers would be appreciated.
Then we all went to Lincoln with Sam, Rachel and the kids to eat at the GIANT Valentino’s Buffet, then a trip to Sam’s Club.
Back to Seward and after the boys finished a nap we spent the evening at Sam and Rachel’s to build a fire and visit.
Whew. Tiring, but nice.
By the way, I have a friend going through some tragic personal stuff, and a prayer for strength and comfort for this friend would be greatly appreciated. (No questions, please – it’s not my story to tell.)

Love the picture of the napping boys… and praying for the friend.

You built a fire? I want to do that so bad. My fire pit has been on mind mind a lot lately since the weather has cooled. Toasted marshmallows have also been on my mind. Mmm…

It was a beautiful fire. Sam and Rachel have one of those flying saucer fire pits, and Sam started us off with good old gasoline. Gracen was playing with a iPad for a while but I made him put it down and start his pyromaniac training. That stuff doesn’t just come naturally, you know.
CousinRachel (aka Gracen's Mom) says
Brad you should fly in for the weekend and we’ll build a fire!
