It’s Homecoming week at Lloyd’s school, but I’ve been getting off easy because he didn’t participate Monday (Pajama Day) and he was set for Tuesday as-is (Nerd Day). Today, Wednesday, was a little shaky because it was Crayon Day and The Man in Black needed his pants re-hemmed. (I used green thread. Don’t tell him.)
Tomorrow is Costume Day. At least he had the decency to tell me the night before and not as I was getting ready in the morning.
I looked at him with that big ol’ fuzzy beard and said, “Well, I guess there’s only one thing to do.”
We went over to Sam and Rachel to borrow a better hat, a better cup and get some pointers.
He’s going to need a different shirt and some more baby powder in his beard, but I think he looks pretty good, Jack.
Brad says
Ha! Great job! I don’t even watch that show and I could tell that’s who Lloyd was.
Lloyd says
Hey, that’s the best compliment I could get, Jack.
Kris says
“He was set for Tuesday as-is”… nice.
Peggy says
HAHA!! Love it!! I think you should guest star on the show. Who knows, maybe you are actually related. Aren’t there like a million Sommerers.
And have you seen the guys before the Dynasty? Check out that Willie!

Kristi says
Lloyd owns camouflage pants??? And does he really have water in that cup, or is there something a little more potent?
Lloyd says
We both have a pair. Well, actually we each have a pair. I’m not sure why we have them. I think there was a party once.
Lauren says
Yes, there was a party.
Kristi says
Did Lloyd have that same tan shirt in college? [Do I really want to know the answer to this question?]
Lauren says
Hee hee! That is a corduroy jacket/shirt that, yes, he has had since college. There is also a red one. Did you recognize it?
