I know, it sounds like a contradiction, but Sunday had a lot going on.
After church we finally made our regular trip to Walmart for groceries. (We’ve missed the past three weeks. ‘Hooray’ for having some food in the house!) Our Walmart is about three miles south of town and we have always joked about how it is the windiest place in Nebraska. They should install some wind turbines and they could power the whole town. Well, today we were under a wind advisory so it made the return trip to the car super-fun.
Back home for lunch and naps. Lloyd has been a little jealous that the cats seem to prefer my company, so I’ve been coaching him on my secrets: keep the house freezing cold, lay with your legs straight, and cover them with a fleece blanket. It’s a Cat Magnet. Most importantly, ignore them. Petting makes them leave.
Finally, we went to Lincoln. While Lloyd was in choir I went around to different child care places to see if any were open. We’re working on the new CDC plans and I’d like to see some different bathroom layouts. No one was open, but I got some contact information.
That’s all from here. How was your weekend?

I am fascinated by strong wind. I need to go kite flying again sometime…

Awwww…..really nice pictures! Nothing cuter than furry friends sleeping.
My weekend was similar to yours minus any great productiveness. It was windy here, I had a great nap yesterday with my granddog, I read A LOT, I went to a movie & I did some chores.

Wedding rehearsal on Friday, wedding on Saturday, party at some friends’ home with taco bar and homemade doughnuts! Mmmm -- powdered sugar.
