Look at those numbers. Look at them. That was today’s high – it was sunny and warm and I actually left the house three times today! Then around 6, the wind picked up. See the numbers change?
A big ol’ north wind is blowing in an angry way outside right now. It is cold and noisy. Yeesh. Tomorrow is going to be chilly again. Not looking forward to it.
The house is clean from before we left so I’ve been trying my darnedest not to mess it up. I went to work for a little while, stopped at the bank, went to the post office… all without my wallet, which I had misplaced.
I tell you, I need some sort of external brain or something. I searched the house, I searched the car, I even called the pizza place where I saw it last. I checked with Rachel to see if I had dropped it at her house, but no. Finally I went back upstairs and sure enough, it was sitting on the windowsill in the bathroom. I had put it there before my bath and even said out loud, “My wallet is on the windowsill,” so I wouldn’t forget.
Fat lot of good that did me. Getting old is going to be a real treat.

Maybe your website could be your external brain. Lloyd could install a sidebar where you can write reminders to yourself. Then if you ever lost your wallet again, any of us could tell you where it is. Or maybe a robber could come get it… On second thought, maybe that’s not such a good idea.

I’m going to stay in bed all day. Too cold to do anything else.

Wow! What a drop in temperature! But as long as the power doesn’t go out, I love being indoors on a very windy cold day.
Speaking of cold, yesterday it was -40 where my son is (Fairbanks, Ak). But today its supposed to reach -1. Woo hoo!
