This is for Kris.
WordFoto is an app that lets you insert words into a photo. It’s great fun, and Sam used it to make some wonderful visuals for the children’s Christmas service. (I don’t have photos of that.)
For the presents that my students give their parents, I have them dress up in a shepherd’s costume and kneel in front of a manger that has a baby doll and strips of grocery bags that we have cut into hay. The children paint a cheap wooden frame and we put the photo in and wrap it up – home run present! Cute and touching .
This year I used that same pose to make a present for the child, too. I used WordFoto to put ‘Jesus Loves Me’ all over it. I am glad they had the parent’s gift as reference, because it really obscured their faces. (That’s why I’m ok putting this next photo up. I don’t think anyone could recognize this child, including me.)
Anyway, it’s a fun app to mess with. You can customize the text by adjusting its size and the font. Totally fun!

That’s an awesome app. A winter landscape with the words “hot” “summer” and “beach” would be mind-bending.
