Nebraska is a windy place nomally, so it’s interesting when we get wind advisories. Last week we had two, and the second day was actually so windy we didn’t go outside in the afternoon at school. We have a tall Rubbermaid shed on the playground that holds balls and play equipment, and the wind was catching it just right and moving it around.
Well, this past Saturday was another crazy windy day. When I got to school this morning, I went to unlock the playground locks, and was greeted by this:
Ok, I was actually greeted by this in a much darker setting. I went back inside for my ipad and a super-bright flashlight to document the process. The wind had knocked it over and slid it in front if the door. It landed doors-down and knocked the roof loose, so tipping it back upright in one piece was not going to happen. I just took it apart the rest of the way and loaded all the stuff inside.
I’m not putting the shed back together until after these wind advisories go away. Sheesh.

These winds have been bad. Even for Nebraska. When I drove home on Thursday, there was a down spout shooting across the street in front of me. I had to quick think about who had the right of way. Me or the down spout. Then I remembered, “Always yield to a down spout.”

Haha! Excellent!

Hahaha! I laughed out loud Deborah!
And I I think I can deal with the cold pretty well, but not the wind & the things it knocks down.
Brad says
Only mild winds here, but we have some snow coming. I think I may be one of the only people in Baltimore who is going to work this morning. We’re supposed to have 5 to 10 inches starting at 9am, which just so happens to be the start of my shift.

How’s it feel sucka.

Crazy winds!! I think I saw a small child fly passed the window on Saturday. And our kids got to experience a dirt blizzard on the way home from York. Not white out -- brown out; just for a few feet at 65 mph.

On my computer at work, when I use the link on Brad’s page to come here…..I come to this page (Wind--shed falling page). This happened yesterday & Wednesday too.
If I type in LloydandLauren in the google bar, I come to this page( wind--shed falling page).
But I do get the current day when I look on my phone. I have a Samsung phone & verizon is my carrier.
I hope this helps.
