Apparently the Olympics are beginning. (Or they’re happening now. Or they’re already over. It gets confusing with the time zones.)
My class has been learning about the Olympics through our student teacher, and it’s been very educational for me, as well. I can now tell the difference (and know the names!) of the different sled races – luge (feet first), skeleton (head first and die) and bobsled (2-4 people). We learned that the skeleton sled stop by dragging their feet and running into a big ol’ piece of paper (or something) they lay on the track.
Anyway, as we learn, we’ve been limited in what we’re able to actually do as far as trying winter sports, so…..
Bring on the Lego people!
Go, athletes. Do what you do and do it well. (Spoken like a non-sports person.)

I wouldn’t know the Olympics were happening either, except for all the stories on the internet about the bad hotels in Sochi.

I love the skeleton athlete & sled! Go team LEGO!!
I don’t ever remember seeing the skeleton race before. I looked it up & Holy Cow! Those people are nuts!
And what’s up with curling? I’d like to see what happens to the thing they throw if the guys with brooms left it alone.

What is the deal with the LEGO movie that’s opening soon? WHO will actually go and see it?
